Michiel Warlé has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Michiel started their career as a surgical resident at Erasmus Medical Centre Rotterdam in 2002 and continued this role at Sint Franciscus Gasthuis Rotterdam from 2004 to 2005. Michiel then joined Canisius Wilhelmina Ziekenhuis Nijmegen as a surgical resident from 2005 to 2008. In 2009, they became a senior surgical resident in abdominal and oncological surgery at Radboudumc. In 2010, they took on the role of a vascular and transplant surgeon in the department of surgery at Radboudumc. Michiel also became certified as an organ procurement surgeon by the Dutch Transplant Foundation. In 2013, they became a Fellow of the European Board of Vascular Surgeons. Since 2019, they have also been a Junior Principal Investigator at Radboudumc. Overall, their work experience spans a range of surgical roles and research positions in multiple medical institutions.
Michiel Warlé completed their Atheneum degree at Het Assink Lyceum in 1994. Michiel then pursued a Doctoral degree in Medicine at Erasmus University Rotterdam from 1994 to 1998. Following that, they obtained a PhD in Liver transplantation from the same university between 1998 and 2000. Finally, they completed their Medical Degree in Geneeskunde at Erasmus University Rotterdam from 2000 to 2002.
