Wessel ten Hagen is currently a PhD Researcher at Radboudumc since September 2024, focusing on molecular disease mechanisms in C3 Glomerulopathy. Prior to this role, Wessel worked at Genmab from December 2018 to September 2024, progressing from Research Associate to Principal Research Associate, specializing in Early Translational Research related to tumor biology and immunology. Wessel also completed a research internship at Radboudumc in 2017, concentrating on complement-mediated kidney diseases, and conducted an internship at the University of Twente in 2015, investigating the interaction between M2 polarized macrophages and Cancer Associated Fibroblasts. Wessel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Medical Laboratory Research from Saxion University of Applied Sciences, obtained in 2018.
