Alaa Albakour

Alaa Albakour is a highly experienced professional in humanitarian coordination and community resilience, currently serving as Co-Founder at LocalizedAction since January 2024 and as Institutional Capacity Strengthening Technical Advisor at Rädda Barnen - Save the Children Sweden since May 2022. Alaa has piloted initiatives like the Localization Toolkit in regions such as Nigeria, South Sudan, and Somalia, focusing on empowering local responders. Previously, Alaa held significant roles, including Community Resilience Programs Manager at VIOLET ORGANIZATION, where leadership guided over 50 projects benefiting over 5 million people, and various consulting positions aimed at enhancing institutional capacities for youth-led organizations and grassroots movements. Alaa's educational background includes an MBA from UCSI and a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Syrian Virtual University.
