Lisa Thompson currently serves as the Director of Development and Communication at The Rescue Mission of Roanoke while also holding the position of Partnership Development Director at the Vinod Chachra Impact Lab at Radford University since 2019. With a diverse background in business and partnership development, recruitment, and communication, Lisa has a proven track record of exceeding targets and building strong partnerships across various sectors, including education, healthcare, and media. Previous roles include serving as a Marketing and Media Consultant at Mel Wheeler, Inc., and as the Director of Communications for the American Red Cross, where Lisa was the primary media contact for the Virginia Mountain Region. Lisa's educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Communication and Media Studies from Old Dominion University and a Certificate in Strategic Project Management from Harvard Division of Continuing Education.
