Dustin S. Mooney

Dustin S. Mooney has over 14 years of work experience in various roles, primarily in the field of cybersecurity and IT auditing. Dustin is currently working as a Senior Incident Response Engineer at RADICL Defense since May 2023. Prior to that, they founded their own company, TechX Cyber, in May 2021, where they served as the Founder until May 2023. Dustin co-founded Rigid Bits in June 2017 and worked there until May 2021. Dustin has also worked as a Forensic Analyst at Saudi Aramco from December 2014 to July 2017 and at Coalfire from October 2011 to December 2014. Before that, they served as a Duty Manager at USO from June 2010 to June 2011. Dustin started their career as a Cyber Threat Analyst at Booz Allen Hamilton in April 2009 and later worked as an IT Audit Staff at Cotton & Company LLP from June 2007 to April 2009.

Dustin S. Mooney has a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Information Technology with a specialization in Network Security, which they obtained from George Mason University between 2003 and 2007. In 2011 and 2012, they pursued a Graduate Certificate in Computer and Digital Forensics from the University of Rhode Island.

In addition to their formal education, Mooney has obtained several certifications. In May 2003, they obtained the A+ certification from CompTIA. In July 2012, they earned the GPEN - GIAC Penetration Tester certification from GIAC Certifications. In June 2013, they became a GCFA - GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst, also from GIAC Certifications. In June 2017, they obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)². Lastly, in October 2016, Mooney was certified as an EnCE - EnCase Certified Examiner by Guidance Software.
