John McDevitt, CSCP has a strong background in supply chain management and manufacturing. John began their career at Mars Electronics as a Manufacturing Engineer. John then moved on to Invisible Fence Com, where they served as the Director of Manufacturing for over a decade. Following that, they joined ITI as the Director of Operations. In 2006, they returned to Radio Systems Corporation and held the position of Program Manager, responsible for New Product Development and portfolio management for the Invisible Fence Brand Category.
John's career at Radio Systems Corporation continued to progress, and they assumed increasingly senior roles within the company. John served as the Director of Global Manufacturing Operations, leading global supply chain finance, planning, and sourcing teams. In this role, they managed a spend of over $250 million across multiple countries, with a focus on China, Vietnam, Mexico, and the USA. John also led demand and supply planning teams in Australia, China, Ireland, and the USA. Additionally, they directed the sourcing teams in Knoxville, China, and Vietnam, overseeing the commercial relationships with contract manufacturers.
John then transitioned to the position of Sr. Director of Supply Chain Management at Radio Systems Corporation. In this role, they continued to oversee the company's global supply chain operations and played a significant role in managing supplier relationships and mitigating cost and risk.
Most recently, John has taken on the role of Vice President Supplier Management at Radio Systems Corporation, where they are responsible for further enhancing the company's supplier management strategies.
Throughout their career, John McDevitt has demonstrated a strong ability to optimize supply chain operations, develop successful supplier relationships, and effectively manage global manufacturing and operations.
John McDevitt, CSCP has a diverse education history with a focus on supply chain management and strategies. In 1983, they attended RETS Electronics, where they studied microprocessor and analog/digital technologies until 1985. From 1991 to 1994, they pursued engineering at Delaware County Community College. In 1994, they completed a Business/Sales Professional Course at Hecht and Associates. In 1996, they participated in The Aji Network - LEIP Program, which focused on the study of creating strategies in business and life to build a better future. In 2012, John obtained the CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) designation from APICS, specializing in supply chain management. More recently, in 2017, they enrolled in Stanford University's program on Supply Chain Management: Strategies and Innovation. In 2021, they attended Columbia Business School, where they concentrated on strategies.
