R. Kent Hutson, MD, CPE has extensive work experience in the field of radiology and imaging. R. Kent currently holds the role of Director of AI Innovation Clinical Operations at Radiology Partners, where they are responsible for implementing artificial intelligence solutions to improve clinical quality and workflow efficiency. R. Kent has been with Radiology Partners since 2018, initially starting as the Director of Imaging Informatics. Prior to their current position, Dr. Hutson worked as a Neuroradiologist at Radiology & Imaging Consultants, P.C. from 2017 to 2019 and at Radiology Alliance, PC from 2014 to 2016. R. Kent also served as the Medical Director at EmCare Radiology Services from 2007 to 2014 and as the Chief of Radiology at Erlanger Medical Center during the same time period. Additionally, Dr. Hutson held the position of Chair of Radiology at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine Chattanooga from 2007 to 2014, where they supervised radiology training for residents and oversaw research in the Department of Radiology.

Dr. R. Kent Hutson obtained their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from Baylor College of Medicine, where they studied from 1987 to 1991. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from Texas A&M University, completing their studies from 1983 to 1987. In addition to their educational qualifications, Dr. Hutson has also acquired the certification of Certified Physician Executive from the Certifying Commission in Medical Management in November 2015.
