Yuanqin (Daniel) Liu

Yuanqin (Daniel) Liu has a strong background in research and development, with a focus on developing new products and technologies. Yuanqin (Daniel) is currently working as a Sr. Manager at RadiSurf, starting in November 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Arkema as a Senior Research Scientist from November 2017 until their current role, and as a Research Scientist from April 2017 to November 2020. Before joining Arkema, they worked at The Dow Chemical Company as an Associate Research Scientist from August 2011 to April 2017, where they led synthesis work to develop novel products for various coating applications and played a key role in developing a platform for uniform ion exchange resin production. Prior to that, they worked as a Polymer Chemist at The Dow Chemical Company from July 2010 to July 2011, where they led R&D work and identified new technology and product development opportunities. Yuanqin also has experience as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where they developed a new detoxification method for biofuel fermentation and designed thermoresponsive microgels for biofuel recovery. Yuanqin (Daniel) began their research career as a Research Assistant at the University of Toronto from September 2004 to July 2009 and at McMaster University from September 2002 to August 2004. Yuanqin (Daniel) holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Nankai University, where they also worked as a Research Assistant from September 1999 to July 2002.

Yuanqin (Daniel) Liu has a strong education background in polymer and material science. Yuanqin (Daniel) obtained their Ph.D. in Polymer and Material Science from the University of Toronto, where they studied from 2004 to 2009. Prior to that, they completed their Master's degree in Polymer Chemistry from McMaster University, studying from 2002 to 2004. Yuanqin (Daniel) continued their education in polymer chemistry by obtaining another Master's degree from Nankai University from 1999 to 2002. Yuanqin (Daniel) completed their undergraduate studies in Chemistry at Nankai University from 1995 to 1999, earning a Bachelor of Science degree.

In addition to their formal education, Yuanqin Liu has also obtained a certification as a Six Sigma Green Belt Project Leader. This certification was obtained in March 2015, although the institution where it was obtained is not specified.
