Sunjeet Jena

Sunjeet Jena has a diverse work experience in the field of computer vision and machine learning. They recently joined RadiusAI, Inc. as a Data Scientist in June 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Data Science Intern at the same company from January 2022 to May 2022.

Before joining RadiusAI, Inc., Sunjeet worked as a Research Aide at Arizona State University from June 2021 to December 2021. They also have experience working at Swaayatt Robots as a Computer Vision and Machine Learning Engineer from January 2019 to March 2020. In this role, they developed computer vision and deep learning models for autonomous driving.

Sunjeet also worked as a Research Assistant at Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi from July 2018 to December 2018. During this time, they developed a visual object tracker based on Deep Q-Networks.

In addition, Sunjeet had two internships at Swaayatt Robots in 2018 and 2016. As a Summer Research Interns Lead, they led a team of 5 interns and worked on projects related to real-time object detection and obstacle avoidance for self-driving cars. As a Research Intern, they worked on visual object tracking using Deep Reinforcement Learning and formulated a new tracker model based on Deep Q-Networks.

Sunjeet also worked as a Summer Intern at Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi in 2017, where they developed an aerial person re-identification system using Siamese and Recurrent Neural Networks for images taken from a drone.

Additionally, Sunjeet had short-term roles as a Visiting Student at The Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Chennai in 2016, and as a Research Intern at Swaayatt Robots, where they developed a deep learning network for joint lane and object detection and contributed to the development of a robot's interface.

Sunjeet Jena completed a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from the International Institute of Information Technology, Bhubaneswar, from 2014 to 2018. Following this, from 2020 to 2022, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science at Arizona State University.
