The brand was initially launched in March 2017 as Big Hair No Care by Cosmopolitan’s 2018 Influencer of the Year, Freddie Harrel. Now rebranded as RadSwan, the company has raised over $2m in seed funding from an all-female group of investors including BBG Ventures, Female Founders Fund and Pritzker.

They have studied at some of the top universities in France and the United States and have held positions at various companies and organizations, including La Ressourcerie d'Imaj, COMMUNE DE SARCELLES, Agence Parisienne du Climat, Kinanoé, It's a Wraap !!, Wedzee, Ayala Royal Ballet, and American Marketing Association.
