Mark van Den Herik

Mark van den Herik, CFA, currently serves as Senior Director and Assistant Treasurer at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego since May 2015. Previously, Mark held the position of Senior Investment Officer for the County of San Diego from October 2005 to May 2015. Mark's career began in finance as an Investment Analyst at Equitable Life (1987-1990) and included roles such as Analyst at Salomon Brothers (1990-1993) and ABS Analyst at PPM America (2001-2005). Mark also served as Portfolio Manager and Vice President at QCI Asset Management, overseeing a $350 million intermediate fixed income portfolio from 1995 to 2001. Mark holds an MBA in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business and a Master of Science in Finance with a focus on Quantitative Methods from Montclair State University.
