Eric Ontiveros

Eric Ontiveros, Ph.D., is a Clinical Genomics Analyst at Rady Children's Institute for Genomic Medicine since July 2021. Prior experience includes serving as a Population Genomics Scientist at Genuity Science from August 2020 to April 2021, where Eric analyzed clinical and genomic data to identify novel therapeutic targets and delivered webinars on analytical results. Eric completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Integrative Pathobiology at the University of California, Davis, from 2016 to 2020, after earning a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the same institution in 2013. While at UC Davis, Eric held various roles, including Ph.D. Candidate, where research focused on the genetics of subvalvular aortic stenosis using canines, Lab Manager overseeing data collection and database creation, and Student Research Assistant engaged in studying protein stability and localization while managing laboratory operations.
