Stephen Kingsmore

Stephen Kingsmore serves as the President and CEO of Rady Children's Institute for Genomic Medicine since September 2015. Prior to this role, Stephen held the Dee Lyons/Missouri Endowed Chair in Genomic Medicine at the University of Missouri-Kansas City from July 2011 to September 2015, and simultaneously directed the Center for Pediatric Genomic Medicine at Children's Mercy Hospital. Stephen has extensive experience in genomic medicine, having led initiatives that provided rapid molecular diagnoses for children with ultra-rare genetic diseases. Additional leadership roles include Chief Executive Officer of the National Center For Genome Resources, COO of Molecular Staging, and VP of Research at CuraGen. Stephen's academic background includes a D.Sc. in Systems Biology and a medical degree from Queen's University Belfast.
