Charles Rutherford Ildstad

Charles Rutherford Ildstad has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Charles started their career as a Summer Intern at Statoil in 2016, followed by Summer Intern roles at Lundin Norway AS and ConocoPhillips in 2016 and 2017, respectively. In 2017, they also served as a Teaching Assistant at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), where they provided lectures, answered student questions, and corrected assignments.

In 2017 and 2018, Charles worked as a Research Scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Summer Intern at Lundin Norway AS. Charles then joined Schlumberger as a Master Thesis Student in 2018. During the same year, they co-founded RagnaRock Geo, a company where they served as an Inventor and Co-Founder.

In 2018, Charles also had a Data Scientist Internship at Spacemaker AI. Currently, they are working at McKinsey & Company, where they have held various roles, including Junior Associate, Associate, Junior Engagement Manager, and currently, Engagement Manager.

Charles Rutherford Ildstad has a diverse education history. Charles completed their Master's Degree in Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 2013 to 2018. During their time at NTNU, they also obtained a certification in LAOS - Læringsassistentopplæringssystem from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Technology Management.

In 2016 and 2017, Charles pursued further education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they earned another Master's Degree in Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering.

Prior to their university studies, Charles attended Nesbru Upper Secondary School. Charles completed their high school education from 2010 to 2012 and participated in the International Baccalaureate program. Before entering the International Baccalaureate program, they completed the Pre-IB curriculum at Nesbru Upper Secondary School from 2009 to 2010.

In addition to their formal education, Charles has obtained several certifications. In 2019, they became Scrum Master Certified (SMC) through the Scrum Alliance. Charles also holds a PRINCE2 INTRO certification from Holte Consulting as, which they obtained in October 2015. Furthermore, they obtained a Certificate for Risk Management in the Norwegian Army from Hærens Våpenskole in April 2013. In February 2013, they obtained multiple certifications, including Certificate for Security Guard Training, Step 1 from G4S, Certificate from H. Butlers School of Bartending from the Norwegian Bartender Association (NBF), and Certification for Bouncer and Doorman Training from Vectrocon AS.
