Derek Manuge

Derek Manuge is the current Chief Technology Officer at Railz, a position they have held since May of 2017. Prior to that, they were with Corl Financial Technologies as their Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder from May of 2017 to May of 2019. Derek has also been an advisor to Coinscious.io from May of 2018 to July of 2021. Derek was previously a steering committee member for the Blockchain Risk Research Group with the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) from April of 2016 to May of 2019. Before that, they were the Manager of Financial Risk Management at KPMG Canada from May of 2015 to December of 2017.

Derek Manuge completed a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Guelph. Derek then completed a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics from the same school. Afterwards, they became a Chartered Financial Analyst through the CFA Institute. Finally, they became a Financial Risk Manager through the Global Association of Risk Professionals.

Derek Manuge reports to Sohaib Zahid, CEO. Derek Manuge works with Robert Bialek - Chief Architect, Ali Kiassat - VP of Sales, and Amitaabh Malhotra - COO. Some direct reports include Priyank Agrawal - Director of Integrations Engineering, Ali Fawaz - Senior Full Stack Engineer, and Jammy Lee - QA Lead.
