Mai Elwardany

Mai Elwardany has a strong background in finance and strategy, with experience in various senior roles. Mai most recently served as the VP of Finance at Rain, where they oversaw accounting operations, financial audits, and cost controls. Prior to that, they were the Group Head of Financial Strategy at Rain, where they built and led the Financial Strategy Department. Before Rain, Mai worked at Careem as the Global FP&A Manager, where they developed financial planning processes, led budgeting and cost management, and created financial models for growth strategies. Earlier in their career, they held positions at The Kraft Heinz Company and Nestlé, where they managed reporting and consolidation processes, optimized resource allocation, and provided valuable financial insights. Mai also has experience at CIB as an Interest Rate Risk Analyst, where they conducted monitoring and analysis of deposit base and developed effective transfer pricing frameworks.

Mai Elwardany completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics at The American University in Cairo from 2006 to 2010. Mai also obtained a certification in Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging from LinkedIn in 2019.
