George Howell

George Howell has had extensive work experience in the defense and security industry. From 2017 to present, they worked as the Director of Industry at RAIN Defense + AI, where they oversaw the production of reports on key defense and intelligence sectors. Prior to that, from 2014 to 2018, they worked at Exclusive Analysis as a Risk Consultant. From 2007 to 2013, they worked at the International Council on Security and Development, where they focused on security, development, and counter narcotics policy in Afghanistan, specifically on urban security, social policy, and counternarcotics portfolio. George was responsible for the implementation of ICOS Urban Citizenship Labs methodology in Brazil, Paraguay, and the UAE, and development of Brazilian Federal Police e-learning strategy for AMERIPOL region in partnership with UNODC.

George Howell has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Anthropology from Goldsmith's College, University of London, which they received prior to the year 2005. In 2005-2006, they attended SOAS University of London and obtained a Master of Science degree in Development Studies. George also pursued a Master of Business Administration degree in Strategic Management of Innovation at FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas from 2015 but it is uncertain when they graduated. Additionally, in 2015-2016, they studied Business Administration and Management, General at Malik Institute for Complexity Management, but it is unclear whether they received any degree or certificate. Finally, they earned a Certified Social Media Intelligence Expert certificate from McAfee Institute in 2018 for completing their Social Media Intelligence program.
