Joao Alcantara

Joao Alcantara is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in system-on-chip (SoC) design, architecture, and SSD technologies. Currently serving as a Principal SoC Design Engineer at Rain AI since December 2024, Joao has previously held significant roles including Principal SoC Architect and Design Engineer at Netlist, and SSD Architect at NGD Systems. Joao's career began at Morpho Technologies as an ASIC Design Engineer, progressing through various technical leadership positions in organizations such as STEC, Western Digital, and HGST. Joao holds educational qualifications from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, where studies were completed from 1990 to 2001.
