Director of Growth Marketing at Rain Retail Software

Katie Towler has over 15 years of work experience in marketing and ecommerce. Katie began their career in 2006 as an Account Manager at Web.com Search Agency (formerly Submitawebsite) and later was promoted to Custom Link Building Project Manager, where they launched the Custom Link Building department and created procedures and quality standards for the department. Katie also held the role of SEO Copywriter and Editor, writing and editing content for a variety of clients' websites.

In 2010, Towler joined Creative Converting as a Product Marketing Manager. Katie utilized ecommerce abilities to offer fresh perspective and optimize product development processes, resulting in increased ecommerce sales and profitability. Katie also managed sports licensing relationships with the NFL and universities and worked the booth at NFL Consumer Products Summit from 2016-2019. Towler was later promoted to E-Commerce Marketing Manager, where they led ecommerce efforts and managed third-party vendor relationships. Katie also brought DTC ecommerce strategy to an organization that was previously exclusively B2B. Towler also held the role of Marketing Director at Party Pail, where they helped the President of the small e-commerce business to grow and position it for purchase/acquisition.

In 2021, Towler joined AbacusNext as Digital Marketing Manager. Katie established KPIs for paid advertising programs, overhauled underperforming paid advertising campaigns, achieved 213% growth in Marketing Qualified Leads within the first 6 months, and managed marketing emails for lead nurture program, customer marketing, partner newsletters, etc.

In 2022, Towler joined Rain Retail Software as Director of Growth Marketing and eTailPet as Director of Marketing.

Katie Towler obtained a B.A. in English from UC Santa Barbara between 2003 and 2006. Katie also attended Corona del Sol High School from 1999 to 2003. In addition, Katie has obtained several certifications from various institutions, including the Email Marketing Certified, HubSpot Marketing Software Certified, Inbound Certified, Google Ads Search Certification, Google Analytics Individual Qualification Certification, and Shopping Ads Certification from HubSpot Academy, Google Ads, and Google respectively, between 2020 and 2021.
