Yuki Sekimoto

Yuki has 15 years of experience in public relations and campaign communications in businesses and NGOs. She works on the development of campaign communications at RAN’s Japan office as a Communications Coordinator. Before working with RAN in 2018, she was Head of Media and Communications at Greenpeace Japan and worked primarily on climate and energy campaigns. Past work includes halting the restart of nuclear power plants in Japan after the Fukushima nuclear disaster in 2011.

Since working at Greenpeace, she has been personally involved in the peace movement against the expansion of U.S. military bases in Okinawa and works closely with local communities. Prior to Greenpeace, she was a PR Manager at Lush Japan and contributed to the growth of the ethical brand in the Japanese market. She holds a Master’s degree in Sustainability and Management from Royal Holloway, University of London.
