Fonji Tanya Folefac is an experienced environmental professional with a strong focus on community forest management and biodiversity conservation. Current role as Associate Integrated Community Forest Management at Rainforest Alliance commenced in March 2024. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Biologist at Cabinet d’etude GEST, leading comprehensive great ape inventory missions, and Program Director at Young Volunteers for Environment Cameroon, coordinating projects on climate change adaptation, food security, and gender equality. Fonji has contributed to various organizations, including WWF and CEFAID, with work in socio-economic studies, rights-based conservation approaches, and participatory management of community forests. Educational background includes a Master of Science in Environmental Management and a degree in Forest Management from the University of Dschang.
