Sonila Cook is a partner and the global head of energy and environment at Dalberg Global Development Advisors. She advises leading foundations, international organizations, government agencies, companies, and nonprofits on strategies to enhance their impact on some of the world's most pressing global challenges.
Cook leads Dalberg's sustainability work, including initiatives in sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, sustainable cities, sustainable fisheries, and sustainable tourism. She has led a range of projects during her time at Dalberg, assisting the US State Department in the development of Haiti’s post-earthquake energy strategy, developing the business plan for innovative technology to produce non-food biofuels, supporting New York City engage residents to combat climate change, and much more.
Prior to joining Dalberg, Cook worked for McKinsey & Company, where she served organizations in the financial, nonprofit, and media sectors. She holds an MBA from Columbia University and an undergraduate degree in Economics from Harvard University.
