Chinmay Gangakhedkar has a diverse range of work experience in the tech industry. Chinmay started their career as a Project Research Intern at Oneirix Labs, where they developed a Multicast and Multi-hop Audio Streaming algorithm for a new Content Creation and Delivery System for Mobile devices. Chinmay then worked as an Independent Researcher at CISEC Lab - Georgia Tech before joining Telchemy as a Software Development Intern. At Telchemy, they focused on developing solutions for DVQattest and SQmediator, distributed software products for performance testing and management of VOIP and video conferencing in Enterprise and Mobile Networks.
Chinmay then joined Barco (previously IP Video Systems Pvt, Ltd) as a Software Engineer. Chinmay'sresponsibilities included designing and developing AV media distribution and collaborative visualization solutions, leading development of designs with a remote team, conducting internal trainings and demos, and implementing the REST API layer for the product.
Currently, Chinmay is working at Culture Machine Media Pvt. Ltd, where they held multiple roles. As a Tech Lead Manager, they led a team of engineers in the development of a video content creation software that allows users to create personalized video content at scale. Chinmay also introduced a modular, microservices architecture for effective horizontal scaling and built a human-readable Video Description Specification in JSON. In their role as Engineering Manager, they contributed to the overall management and coordination of engineering activities. Furthermore, as Head of Engineering, they are responsible for building a platform for AI-driven Media Intelligence and Video Creation targeting global brands, agencies, and publishers. The platform includes a big data media intelligence platform called "Intelligence Machine" and a video creation engine called "Video Machine".
Chinmay Gangakhedkar's education history begins in 2004 when they enrolled at Savitribai Phule Pune University. Chinmay pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Engineering and completed their studies in 2008. After that, in 2008, Chinmay joined the Georgia Institute of Technology to pursue a Master's degree in Computer Science, which they completed in 2009.
