Thomas E. Hannaford

Thomas E. Hannaford is an experienced professional with a strong background in commercial banking and capital management. Thomas E. currently serves as the Managing Director at Rainstar Capital Group, a private equity firm based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this role, they focus on making investments in distressed debt portfolios, mortgages, high growth companies, and real estate, while also providing capital management and advisory services to portfolio companies and clients. Prior to their current position, Thomas worked as the President at TEH Consulting, where they advised middle market companies on capital structure and financing options. Thomas E. has also held various leadership roles at prominent financial institutions such as First Federal Bank of the Midwest, First Financial Bank, Huntington National Bank/Advantage Bank, WesBanco, Fifth Third Bank, and NBD Bank. Thomas E. Hannaford completed their education in two different institutions. From 1977 to 1981, they attended The Ohio State University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree. During their time there, they had a dual major in Accounting and Finance. Following this, they enrolled at the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University from 1983 to 1986. At this institution, they earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree, specializing in Banking and Finance.
