Alec McDowell

Alec McDowell is an experienced project engineer currently employed at Raker Rhodes Engineering, LLC since June 2022. Prior to this role, Alec served as a consultant at CyBIZ Lab - Iowa State University from September 2021 to May 2022 and completed a summer internship as a field engineer at PCL Construction in 2021. Alec's foundation in engineering was built at Iowa State University, where work included being an undergraduate research assistant supporting graduate research in the PCC and Structures Labs, and assisting a professor on projects such as an Iowa DOT bridge initiative. Alec also held positions as a teacher's assistant and academic tutor, alongside commitments as a student athlete in wrestling, demonstrating strong time management and leadership skills as an executive board member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. Additionally, internship experience included a mechanical engineering position at XL Specialized Trailers. Alec holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and an MBA from Iowa State University.
