Luis Escobedo

Luis Escobedo is an experienced technology leader and entrepreneur with a strong focus on financial access and innovation in Latin America. Currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at Aplazo, Luis leads a globally distributed team aimed at creating transparent financial solutions. As a Limited Partner at Rally Cap VC, Luis collaborates with operators and founders to invest in emerging market fintech and climate tech. Previous experience includes roles as Technology Advisor and Chief Technology Officer at Covalto, Head of Engineering at Silk and Sonder, and Engineering Manager at Stitch Fix, where Luis significantly contributed to the company’s growth and expansion. Luis co-founded Privyleged and Hoakey, developing SaaS platforms for mobile advertising and community management, respectively. An early career included positions as Lead Engineer at Brandizi Inc and Software Engineer at Overtone Inc, focusing on CRM and NLP sentiment analysis. Luis holds a B.S. in Computer Systems Engineering from Stanford University.
