Giancarlo Surla has over 20 years of experience in the game industry. Giancarlo began their career in 2001 as a Character Artist at BLACK OPS ENTERTAINMENT, LLC. In 2003, they joined Neversoft as a Character Artist, and was later promoted to Lead Character Artist and Mission Art Director. In 2014, they became a Production Design Consultant at Infinity Ward. In 2015, they co-founded Paper Crane Games, where they served as Art Director. Currently, they are the Studio Art Director at Ramen VR.
Giancarlo Surla attended Otis College of Art and Design from 1997 to 2001, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Media.
