Joseph Ernst

Joseph Ernst is a Digital Signal Processing Engineer at Rampart Communications, starting in 2022. From 2018 to 2022, they worked as a Senior Professional Staff I at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. Prior to that, they were a Research Assistant Professor at Virginia Tech from 2013 to 2018. Joseph was also a Post-Doctoral Researcher at Oak Ridge National Laboratory from 2011 to 2013, where they worked on projects involving image processing. Joseph completed their PhD at Purdue University, where they worked on Intelligent Transportation Systems from 2006 to 2011. Before that, they were a student at the University of Notre Dame from 2002 to 2006.

Joseph Ernst received their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame in 2006. Joseph then pursued higher education by earning a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Purdue University from 2006 to 2011.
