Andreas Klaus

Andreas Klaus has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Andreas is currently working as a Data Engineer at Rancho BioSciences since December 2022. Prior to this, they served as an Associate Research Scientist at Columbia University in the City of New York from January 2022 to December 2022.

Andreas also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Champalimaud Foundation from November 2014 to December 2022. Before that, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) from February 2013 to October 2014.

Andreas's earlier experiences include working as a PHD Graduate Student in the National Institutes of Health-Karolinska Institute Graduate Partnership Program from August 2007 to January 2013. Before pursuing their Ph.D., Andreas worked as a Software Engineer at Colegio Alemán de Quito from February 2006 to December 2006. Andreas also worked as a Teacher of Mathematics and Computer Science at the same institution during the same period.

Andreas's early career involved working as a Masters Student at Lund University from February 2005 to December 2005. Andreas conducted research on modeling optimal receptive fields for vision under low light conditions during this period.

Additionally, they were a Student Assistant at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences from October 2004 to January 2005, where they implemented a numerical solver using exponential sums in C++.

Andreas started their career as a Software Engineer at the Max Planck Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience from October 2000 to May 2001.

Andreas Klaus completed their education in a chronological order. Andreas first attended HTWK Leipzig from 1999 to 2004, where they earned a B.Sc. in Computer Science. Following this, they enrolled at Leipzig University from 2005 to 2006 and obtained an M.Sc. in Computer Science. Finally, they pursued their studies at Karolinska Institutet from 2007 to 2013, receiving a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Medical Science with a focus on Neuroscience.
