Ewa Wilcz-Villega, PhD

Ewa Wilcz-Villega, PhD has an extensive work experience across various industries and roles. Currently, they serve as a Scientific Data Curator at Rancho BioSciences and as the Managing Director at Araconwiss GmbH. In addition, they are actively involved as the Chair of Science at STEMcognito.

Prior to their current positions, Ewa worked as a Consultant at Aracon Software Ltd from April 2020 to February 2022. Ewa also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at Barts Cancer Institute from March 2014 to January 2020, conducting research in the field. Before that, Ewa pursued their PhD in Clinical Medicine as a PhD Student at Trinity College Dublin from February 2009 to December 2013.

Ewa gained valuable experience as a volunteer at the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry, Polish Academy of Sciences from October 2008 to November 2008, where they participated in a project focusing on the defense mechanisms of lupine plants against pathogenic microorganisms. Ewa also had a brief trainee position at the Diagnostic Laboratory of the NC Municipal Specialist Hospital in Torun from July 2006 to August 2006.

Ewa Wilcz-Villega, PhD obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Clinical Medicine from Trinity College Dublin from 2009 to 2013. Prior to this, they completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Biotechnology from Uniwersytet im. Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu between 2002 and 2007. Ewa also holds an Associate's degree in Biotechnology from the University of Luton, United Kingdom, which they earned in the academic year 2005-2006.
