Rebecca Ferguson, Ph.D.

Rebecca Ferguson, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. At Rancho BioSciences, they started as a Data Curator in January 2020 before transitioning into a Scientist role in April 2020. Rebecca later became a Training Manager in January 2022. Additionally, they hold the position of Senior Scientist at Rancho BioSciences starting from September 2021.

Prior to their work at Rancho BioSciences, Dr. Ferguson had an extensive tenure at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Rebecca started as a Post-doctoral fellow, where they received an NIH F32 Service Award and mentored graduate students and research associates. Rebecca then served as a Research Associate and performed tasks such as optimizing assays, creating and expressing mutant proteins, and managing laboratory inventory. Rebecca also took on the role of Research Associate/Lab Manager, where they were responsible for laboratory setup and management, procurement, and administrative duties. Throughout their time at the University, they designed and implemented new protocols and procedures and liaised with clinical research teams for regulatory compliance.

Rebecca Ferguson, Ph.D. completed their Bachelor of Science degree, with a double major in Biology/Biological Sciences and Zoology/Animal Sciences, at Colorado State University in 2003. Rebecca went on to pursue their Doctor of Philosophy degree in Molecular Biology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, which they obtained in 2009.
