Dan Mtshilibe

Dan Mtshilibe has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry. Dan is currently the Head of Financial Risk at Rand Merchant Bank, where they oversee risk management, governance, and performance for various investment funds and products. Prior to this, they worked as a Risk Manager at JSE and a VP of Asset and Liability Management at Absa Group. Dan has also held roles in balance sheet management, risk management, and actuarial analysis at MMI Holdings Limited, Caveo Fund Solutions, and Old Mutual South Africa. Dan has a strong background in behavioral modeling, transfer pricing, and economic capital management.

Dan Mtshilibe, FRM, MIFM has a strong educational background in financial markets. Dan obtained their FRM (Financial Risk Manager) certification from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) in 2007. In 2018, they became a member of the Institute of Financial Markets and completed their studies in Financial Markets at the South African Institute of Financial Markets. In 2019, they furthered their expertise by becoming a JSE Registered Securities Trader, also at the South African Institute of Financial Markets. Additionally, in 2018, they completed regulatory exams (RE1, RE3, RE5) at the Moonstone Business School of Excellence.
