Mike Newman has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Mike started their career as a Hull Technician E-5 in the US Navy, where they performed welding, pipe fitting, firefighting, and damage control duties. After leaving the Navy, they worked as a Certified Athletic Trainer for the DCH Health System, focusing on injury prevention and rehabilitation for local sports teams.
Mike then transitioned into the field of web development, working as a Webmaster and later as the Director of Web Development for Randall Publishing Company. In these roles, they managed a team of web designers and programmers, oversaw multiple company websites, and implemented strategies to increase website traffic and revenue.
Mike then joined Benchmark ITS, LLC as the Vice President of Business Development, where they collaborated with the team to develop web-based software programs in adult education and testing. Mike also managed client relationships and evaluated acquisition opportunities.
Returning to Randall-Reilly, Mike took on various roles including Regional Sales Manager, Electronic Media Manager, Director of Digital Services - Construction Media, and National Account Executive. In these roles, they worked closely with sales and marketing teams, developing innovative solutions, managing national accounts, and expanding sales across different verticals.
Currently, Mike serves as the Vice President, Strategic Accounts at Randall-Reilly. Mike collaborates with the sales and marketing team to develop cutting-edge solutions for clients in the recruiting, trucking, and construction industries, encompassing print, digital, custom content, and event marketing programs. Mike reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Sales and focuses on increasing sales across various verticals.
Mike Newman holds a PhD (ABD) in Instructional Technology from The University of Alabama, which they pursued from 1997 to 2000. Prior to that, they obtained their MS in Health Studies from the same university during the academic year 1996-1997. Their undergraduate degree, a BS in Athletic Training, was completed from 1993 to 1996 at The University of Alabama as well.
