David Hamilton Ulmer

David Hamilton Ulmer has been working in the technology industry since 2002. David Hamilton started their career at Bank of America (BAC) as a Senior Technology Manager, Transaction Services Technology, and then moved up to Senior Vice President, Global Technology and Operations. David Hamilton then moved to the State of North Carolina in 2013, where they served as Deputy State CIO and Chief Information Officer at the Department of Transportation. In 2014, they became a Partner at Ulmer Boatworks, LLC, building boats in the low country. In 2015, they joined Gartner as an Executive Partner. In 2018, they took on the roles of Deputy Chief Information Officer and CIO and Deputy Director at South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS). David Hamilton is currently the Chief Information Officer at Random Bit LLC.

David Hamilton Ulmer obtained their MBA from Emory's Goizueta School of Business in Atlanta, GA between 1988 and 1989, with a focus on Operations and Cost Accounting. David Hamilton then obtained their BA from Furman University in Greenville, SC between 1978 and 1982, with a focus on Liberal Arts.
