Vilasha Gooroovadoo

Vilasha Gooroovadoo has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of accounting and finance. Vilasha began their career as a Trainee in Accounting at Dhanjee Associates Mauritius in 2007 before moving on to intern at the finance division of State Bank of Mauritius in 2008. In 2010, they joined PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) as an Associate Consultant in Internal Audit. Following that, they worked as an Accounting Technician at Distributions Novitek International in 2012. Vilasha then joined Randstad Canada in the same year, starting as a Senior Financial Analyst and progressing to the roles of Manager Accounting, Reporting & Compensation, and Director Accounting, Reporting & Compensation.

Vilasha Gooroovadoo, CPA, CGA, FCCA, MBA has a diverse education history. Vilasha completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Management with Finance from the University of Mauritius in 2009. Prior to that, they obtained their General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE 'A' Level) in Accounting from Dr Maurice Cure State Secondary School in 2005.

In 2011, Vilasha graduated with a Bsc (Graduate) degree in Management and Finance from the University of Toronto. Vilasha then went on to become a Fellow (FCCA) at ACCA in 2013.

Vilasha obtained membership in the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) in 2015.

Vilasha is currently pursuing a Global MBA, specializing in Accounting and Finance, from the University of London, which they began in 2018 and is expected to complete in 2021.
