Tanner Howell

Tanner Howell has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Tanner began their career as an Intern in the Cloud Storage Team at HGST, a Western Digital company, in 2015. After that, they joined Dow in 2016 and worked as a Cyber Security Analyst, where they managed incidents and developed a cybersecurity dashboard using Python and REST APIs. Tanner also collaborated with development teams to drive the adoption of DevOps practices. In 2017, Tanner transitioned to the role of Laboratory Automation Engineer at Dow, acting as a liaison between Dow Cyber-Security and R&D teams and developing scalable architecture for controlling multiple laboratory systems. Tanner also led the uplift of in-house built scheduling software, resulting in a 10% savings in startup time for subsequent projects. In 2019, Tanner became a Solutions Architect at Dow, owning the process for evaluating and scaling emerging technologies and writing architecture statements around industry trends. In 2020, they joined RangeForce as a Senior Solutions Engineer, focusing on pre-sales support for enterprise and strategic accounts. Recently, Tanner has been working at RangeForce as the Director of Solutions Engineering, where they boost the effectiveness and efficiency of security operations through advanced threat training.

Tanner Howell obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from Michigan Technological University. Tanner attended the university from 2011 to 2016. In addition to their degree, Tanner has obtained two certifications: the ADKAR Change Management Certification from Prosci, which they received in October 2019, and the TOGAF 9 Certification from The Open Group, obtained in July 2019.
