James Taylor

James Taylor has extensive work experience in finance and leadership roles. James recently worked as the Chief Financial Officer at Rangers Football Club starting in September 2023. Prior to that, they held the same position at Zonal Retail Data Systems from December 2020 to September 2023.

Before their time at Zonal Retail Data Systems, James served as CFO at Yoyo from January 2019 to December 2020 and as VP Finance from May 2018 to December 2018. James also worked at Mastercard as the Director of Finance from January 2018 to April 2018.

In addition to these roles, James was Head of Finance at Vocalink from July 2017 to December 2017, Head of Financial Decision Support at Zapp (Mobile Payments) from September 2014 to July 2017, and AVP BP&A Projects at Barclays from July 2013 to September 2014.

Before joining Barclays, James worked at Barclays Investment Bank as an AVP from February 2012 to July 2013 and as an Analyst from January 2010 to February 2012.

James'searlier experience includes working as an Audit Executive at BDO UK LLP from October 2008 to December 2009 and as a CA Trainee/Corporate Finance Executive at Haines Watts from September 2005 to September 2008.

James Taylor attended Jordanhill School from 1995 to 2001. James then went on to study at the University of Glasgow from 2001 to 2005, where they obtained a BACC (Honours) degree with a 2:1 in Accountancy with Finance. Following that, from 2005 to 2008, they attended ICAS - The Professional Body of CAs, where they earned the degree of Chartered in Accounting and Finance. Later, from 2015 to 2020, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Strathclyde. No specific field of study was mentioned for their MBA.
