Rachel Oldroyd

Rachel Oldroyd MBA (Tech Mgmt) has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and industries. Rachel is currently serving as the Head of Data Delivery at The Rank Group plc, where they manage a portfolio of data initiatives and leads a delivery function consisting of multiple cross-functional agile teams. Their main project involves the implementation of a state-of-the-art data lakehouse using Microsoft Azure and Databricks.

Prior to their current role, Rachel worked as a Trustee/Director at Allergy UK, contributing their expertise and knowledge to the organization.

Rachel also held positions at Rank Interactive, where they served as the Head of Digital Platform Integration, overseeing a £10M program to migrate web and mobile products, data, and services to a new proprietary platform. At The Rank Group plc, they worked as a Technology Integration Programme Manager and a Digital Programme Change Manager, driving revenue growth through digital initiatives and overseeing a portfolio of revenue-generating projects and innovations.

Before joining Rank Group plc, Rachel held roles at Artesian Solutions as a Product Manager and a Scrum Master/Coach, where they managed the UK/US roadmaps and releases for the Artesian Ready calendar app and established agile ways of working for the Tech department. At Yell (now Hibu), they worked as a Scrum Master for several UK and US-based teams and projects. Additionally, Rachel gained experience at Landmark Information Group as a Project Manager/Scrum Master and an Oracle Database Engineer, managing Agile projects and carrying out project management for SaaS geospatial data products.

Rachel began their career at PwC as an IT Consultant, where they delivered billing and CRM integration projects for major telecommunications companies.

Rachel Oldroyd earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science from UCL. Rachel is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Technology Management at The Open University, with an expected completion date in 2023. Additionally, they hold several certifications, including Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) from Scrum Alliance, Confluence Fundamentals Badge and Jira Fundamentals Badge from Atlassian, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals from Microsoft, and Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from Scrum Alliance. In 2007, they obtained the APMP - Association for Project Managers Professional certification. Furthermore, Rachel Oldroyd completed the Summer School for Data Leaders program at Carruthers and Jackson in September 2023.
