Panayiota B. has a diverse work experience. In 2006, they founded the Military Rape Crisis Center, which offers direct services to survivors of military sexual trauma. panayiota also founded Teal Lotus Yoga in 2014, an initiative that connects yoga teachers interested in giving free classes to survivors of sexual abuse, domestic violence, and sex trafficking. In 2015, Panayiota B. founded Panayiota Bertzikis Consulting, where they worked as a marketing and strategy consultant. panayiota also has experience as an inspirational speaker and writer. In 2016, they co-founded PMG and served as the Chief Operating Officer. Panayiota B. is the founder of the Panayiota Bertzikis Foundation, which focuses on radical giving to create structural change and support grassroots organizations. panayiota has also worked as an angel investor and served as the International Coordinator for the Indian Women's Organization until December 2019.

Panayiota B. completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Women's Studies and Sociology, with a minor in Criminal Justice, at UMass Boston from 2007 to 2011. panayiota proceeded to pursue a Master's degree in Global Studies and International Relations at Northeastern University. Additionally, Panayiota B. obtained a Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) certification from Rishikesh YogPeeth.
