Terry Thornton began their work experience in 2004 at Capital One as the Manager of Yield Management, Subprime Consumer Card, where they led teams focused on minimizing credit losses and maximizing returns in the subprime credit space. Terry implemented innovative strategies such as a customer-centric billing statement redesign, resulting in improved payment behavior and reduced credit losses. In 2006, they transitioned to the role of Senior Manager of New Customer Acquisitions, Small Business Card, where they supervised new customer acquisition marketing teams and drove profitability growth through targeted marketing efforts. Terry then held various director-level positions at Capital One, including Director of Marketing and Analysis, Consumer Card Loyalty Marketing, Director of Consumer Credit Training and Development, and Director of Marketing and Analysis, Partnerships Card Central Credit. In these roles, they oversaw risk management initiatives, integrated credit card programs, led talent development programs, and implemented best practices. In 2018, Thornton joined Rapid Finance as the Vice President of Credit and Analysis before assuming their current position as the Chief Credit Officer.
