David Hallock

Director of Hardware & Mechanical Engineering at Rapid Robotics

David Hallock has over 10 years of work experience in the engineering field. David began their career in 2006 as a Manufacturing Project Manager Intern at Omnicell. In 2010, they moved to Blue Shield of California as a Business Analyst. From 2011 to 2013, they worked at two different companies, West Coast Surgical and Axcess Surgical Innovations, LLC, as a Design Engineer. In 2013, they joined Space Exploration Technologies as a Structures Designer, designing the first stage of Falcon Heavy and the optimized F9v1.1 single core configuration. David also developed and upgraded first stage liquid oxygen tank sections and panels for Re-entry Full Thrust Falcon 9v1. From 2015 to 2016, they worked as a Freelance Mechanical Engineer at Creator. David then joined Kindred.ai in 2016, taking on the roles of Staff Mechanical Engineer, Lead Robotics Mechanical Engineer, and Mechanical Design Engineer. In 2020, they moved to Ocado Technology as a Staff Mechanical Engineer. Currently, they are the Director of Hardware & Mechanical Engineering at Rapid Robotics, Inc.

David Hallock attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 2005 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
