Dideriek Ghesquiere

Dideriek Ghesquiere has a background in mechanical engineering, with experience in both mechanical design and manufacturing engineering. Dideriek began their career in 2014 as a board member, Vice-Praeses, and Praeses at Hermes Gent vzw. In 2017, they completed a mechanical engineering internship at Hogeschool Gent. From 2020 to 2022, they worked as a Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineer at VLI-EV. Currently, they are a Mechanical Design Engineer at Rapid Robotics, Inc and a Mechanical Engineer at Symbio Robotics. At Symbio Robotics, their role involves hybrid work between software and hardware, such as investigating manufacturing problems and designing innovative solutions, developing data analysis tools, designing and redesigning test cells, and designing parts for robots.

Dideriek Ghesquiere obtained a High School Diploma from VTI Veurne in 2013. Dideriek then attended Ghent University from 2013-2014, obtaining Credits in the Joint Section Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology. From 2014-2017, they attended HOGENT, obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Bachelor of Electromechanics with a main subject of Electromechanics. Finally, from 2017-2019, they attended Ghent University again, obtaining a Master's degree in Master of Science in Electromechanical Engineering Technology.
