Carl Eastman

Carl Eastman has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Carl is currently serving as a Lead Software Engineer at Rapid7, starting in 2022. Prior to this, Carl worked at IBM for 12 years, from 2010 to 2022, where they held the position of Lead DevSecOps Engineer. In this role, they led and mentored a team of operations personnel, collaborated with internal teams to enhance IBM's SAAS offering, and managed the lab environment for agile software development. Before joining IBM, Carl worked as a Technical Operations Manager at Lombardi Software from 2008 to 2010, where they managed a team of IT professionals and implemented various improvements in infrastructure. From 2005 to 2008, they served as the Manager of Technical Operations at LCRA, where they managed IT budgets and teams across multiple technical areas. Prior to that, Carl was the Director of Infrastructure at Allegient Systems from 2000 to 2005, where they managed the IT team and implemented solutions to address technical needs. Carl started their career as a Network Manager at Savings Bank of Utica from 1998 to 2000, where they managed a team and designed and maintained a large-scale network.

Carl Eastman earned a Certificate Degree in E-Commerce from The University of Dallas in 2005. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications at SUNY Polytechnic Institute. Additionally, they obtained an Associate degree in Computer Science from Mohawk Valley Community College.
