Chris Darmofal has a diverse and extensive work experience in the technology industry. Chris has held various leadership roles in different companies over the years.

Chris started their career in 1990 at GTE Government Systems, where they worked as a Senior Systems Engineer and later became a Systems Engineering Lead. Chris'sresponsibilities included designing, testing, and integrating voice and data communication solutions for large Department of Defense (DoD) customers.

In 1997, Chris joined Avaya, Inc./Lucent Technologies as a Product Specialist for Enterprise Network Infrastructure products. Chris was later promoted to Manager of Product Support, where they ran a team that supported large pre-sales efforts and dealt with enterprise problem escalations for network switching and routing products.

Chris continued their career at Nauticus Networks (later acquired by Sun Microsystems) in 2001. Chris served as a Systems Engineer/Product Support Manager, overseeing both pre-sales and post-sales customer-facing activities. Chris'sexpertise included application-switching/load-balancing, routing/switching, and SSL-acceleration technologies.

In 2004, Chris joined IntelliReach Corporation as a Senior Systems Engineer. Chris worked as a single field SE for the email-processing appliance/software startup, focusing on technologies such as SPAM/virus filtering, email encryption, and email archiving. Chris also played a role in GTM strategies and led the development of sales presentations, ROI studies, and presales best practices.

From 2005 to 2009, Chris worked at Mazu Networks as the Director of WW Systems Engineering. Chris led the WW Systems Engineering team, specializing in network-based DDOS detection, insider-threat detection through network behavior analysis, and network visibility/performance monitoring. Chris was responsible for all aspects of presales best practices, including discovery, positioning/presenting, demonstrations, and proof of concepts.

Following their time at Mazu Networks, Chris joined Riverbed Technology in 2009 as the Director of WW Systems Engineering for the Cascade Business Unit. Chris played a crucial role in the sales strategies for the company's products and worked closely with the global Riverbed organization, which was focused on a single product at that time.

At Riverbed, Chris held various positions, including Senior Director of Systems Engineering - Americas, leading a wide-ranging Systems Engineering organization focused on performance management technologies. Chris also served as the Senior SE Director for the Digital Performance Management Global COE, where they led a global team of solution architects supporting strategic sales efforts for Performance-Management and Network Security Analytics solutions.

Chris's most recent role is with Rapid7, where they started in 2021. Chris currently serves as the Senior Manager of Sales Engineering for the US-East Enterprise and Named Accounts. Chris'sresponsibilities include leading Enterprise and Named Account SE teams, covering Rapid7's complete set of security solutions.

Throughout their career, Chris has consistently demonstrated high performance and achieved significant results, even in challenging circumstances such as the COVID-19 pandemic. Chris'sexpertise spans a wide range of technologies, and they have a strong track record of leadership and driving successful sales strategies.

Chris Darmofal has a strong educational background in the field of engineering and technology. Chris attended Northeastern University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in Computer Engineering in 1990. Later on, they attended Northeastern University again to pursue a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in digital signal processing. Chris completed this degree part-time and finished in the year 1996.

In addition to their formal education, Chris Darmofal has also earned several certifications to further enhance their skills and knowledge. Chris obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² in November 2005. Furthermore, they obtained the ITIL Foundation Level certification from PeopleCert in July 2016. It is worth mentioning that they also hold an RCSP-NPM certification, though it is unclear when and where they obtained it.
