Shawn Shen

Shawn Shen has a strong background in software engineering and management roles. Shawn currently works as a Lead Software Engineer at RapidAI since November 2022. Previously, they worked at Commonwealth Bank, where they were an Engineering Manager Chapter Lead from March 2022 to November 2022 and a Lead Software Engineer (iOS) from April 2021 to March 2022. Before that, Shawn was a Senior Software Engineer at RapidAI from June 2021 to December 2021.

Prior to RapidAI, they held roles at \u30de\u30cd\u30fc\u30c4\u30ea\u30fc\u30fbMoneytree, where they were an Engineering Manager from January 2021 to April 2021. There, they led a team in building a banking and personal financial management app for Mitsubishi bank. Shawn also maintained Moneytree's B2C mobile/web apps and B2B mobile/web SDKs. Shawn facilitated Scrum ceremonies and continuously improved the team process.

Before Moneytree, Shawn was a Senior Engineer at Fairfax Media, where they built news apps for Sydney Morning Herald and The Age. Shawn conducted code reviews, participated in technical and architecture discussions, and worked on test automation. Shawn also worked as a Mobile Software Engineer at Cox Automotive Australia, CarsGuide, and SK8 PTY LTD. During this time, they designed and developed applications for iOS and Android platforms, ensuring their performance and quality.

Additionally, Shawn has experience as a Test Engineer at Gaming Laboratories International, LLC, where they tested and analyzed gaming machines and systems and created and executed test cases. Shawn Shen completed a Master of Computing degree in Computing from The Australian National University, which took place from 2012 to 2013. Prior to that, Shawn also obtained a Bachelor of IT degree in Computing from the same university, starting in 2011 and finishing in 2012. In addition to their formal education, Shawn obtained a certification as a Certified Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance in May 2017.
