Nancy Schellhorn

Nancy Schellhorn is the CEO and Co-Founder of RapidAIM. Nancy has over 20 years of experience in the field of entomology and integrated pest management. Nancy has a Ph.D. in Entomology from the University of Wisonsin/Madison.

Nancy started their career as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Wisonsin/Madison, where they researched the biological control and integrated pest management of cotton pests. Nancy then spent six years as a Senior Entomologist at SARDI, developing and leading the National Diamondback Moth Project and the Revegetation by Design project. In 2004, Nancy joined CSIRO as a Principal Research Scientist. At CSIRO, Nancy led science and team projects focused on landscape scale pest management across cotton, grain, vegetable, and fruit systems. Nancy also developed an real-time insect monitoring device and geo-referenced insect detection of broad species type.

In 2018, Nancy left CSIRO to start RapidAIM with the goal of providing affordable and accessible crop monitoring tools to farmers worldwide.

Nancy Schellhorn has a PhD in Entomology from the University of Minnesota, a Master's Degree in Ecology from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis, and a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Sciences from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
