Laura Forbes

Laura Forbes has several years of work experience in various roles. Laura began their career as an Accounts Assistant at UDG Healthcare plc in 2011. From 2013 to 2014, they worked as a Webmaster for the NUIM Biology Society, managing social media accounts and organizing events. In 2013, they also served as an IT Project Support Officer at Maynooth University.

In 2014, Laura worked as a Summer Camp Demonstrator at Maynooth University. Laura then joined Ammeon in 2015, where they held multiple roles including Graduate Software Engineer and Continuous Integration Test Engineer. Laura'sresponsibilities at Ammeon included executing and debugging manual and automated tests, developing and reviewing Python tests for Jenkins automation, and test analysis and design.

In 2018, Laura became a Test Coordinator at Ammeon and later took on the role of CI Lead & Software Test Engineer from 2018 to 2019. During this time, they contributed to continuous integration and software testing processes.

From 2019 to 2020, Laura worked as a Deployment Engineer at Openmind Networks. Laura'srole involved deploying software solutions.

Currently, Laura is employed as a Quality Control Engineer at RapidRatings, where they began in June 2020. Laura has since been promoted to Software QA Manager in January 2021.

Laura Forbes earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Software Engineering from the National University of Ireland, Maynooth from 2010 to 2014. Laura also participated in an Erasmus exchange program at Aalto University for one semester in 2012-2013. Before attending university, they completed their high school education at St. Dominic's College, Cabra from 2005 to 2010, where they received a Leaving Certificate. In addition to their formal education, Laura Forbes has obtained several certifications including Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) from Scrum Alliance in February 2019, RED HAT DELIVERY SPECIALIST - PLATFORM-AS-A-SERVICE (PAAS) from Red Hat in February 2017, Mirantis Certified Administrator for OpenStack Professional Level - MCA200 from Mirantis in March 2016, ISTQB ® - Certified Tester Foundation Level from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT in July 2015, and ECDL from ECDL Foundation in May 2010.
