Daniel Knowland

Daniel Knowland is an accomplished neuroscientist with extensive experience in drug discovery and gene therapy. Currently serving as Associate Director and Discovery Program Lead at Rapport Therapeutics since November 2023, Daniel leads biology programs for small molecule precision neuroscience and manages CRO collaborations. Previously, as a Senior Scientist at Locanabio, Inc., Daniel contributed to platform development for RNA therapeutics in neuromuscular and neurodegenerative conditions. Daniel has also held roles at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies, focusing on CNS ion channels and receptors, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in neuroscience. With a Ph.D. in Neurosciences from UC San Diego and a B.S. in Neuroscience from UCLA, Daniel has a strong foundation in both experimental and developmental neuroscience research.
