Aiko Bethea

Aiko Bethea is the founder of RARE Coaching & Consulting. Aiko has a passion for helping organizations create inclusive environments where everyone can thrive. Aiko has over 15 years of experience in the diversity, equity, and inclusion field. Aiko has worked with the American Alliance of Museums, Brené Brown Education and Research Group, and Frontline Solutions. In their most recent role, they were the Senior Director of Museum Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility at the American Alliance of Museums. In this role, they created and implemented the first center-wide diversity and inclusion strategy. Aiko also launched the first employee resource groups and established partnerships with HBCUs and tribal colleges.

Aiko Bethea has a BA in Government from Smith College, a Masters in Civil Rights of Indigenous People from the University of Sydney, and a JD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Aiko is also certified as a Fearless Organization Scan Accredited Practitioner, EMCC Global Team Coaching Certification, Forbes Coaches Council, Certified Dare to Lead Facilitator, Qualified Administrator of Intercultural Development Inventory, Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt, Georgia State Bar, Crucial Conversations (Certified Trainer), and EQ Learning in Action (Emotional Quotient Assessment).
