Dr. Alida Scholtz

Dr. Alida Scholtz has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Dr. Alida has worked as the Chief Financial Officer at Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) since 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Managing Director Germany at SGS from 2021 to 2023. From 2018 to 2021, they held the position of Managing Director at Hertz. Before that, they were the CEO and Managing Director UAE at G4S from 2016 to 2018. Dr. Scholtz also worked as the Vice President Assistant International Controller at Hertz from 2015 to 2016, and as the Director Finance and Shared Services at Johnson Controls from 2011 to 2015. Dr. Alida served as the Finance Director Middle East at Cooper Industries from 2010 to 2011. Dr. Alida'sextensive experience also includes the role of Finance Director Middle East and Africa at Goodyear from 2002 to 2010, where they played key roles in various financial initiatives leading to revenue and income growth. Dr. Alida began their career as the Director of Finance and Operations at Gallagher Estate from 1996 to 2002, where they managed various financial aspects of the organization.

Dr. Alida Scholtz holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Organizational Behavior Studies from The International School of Management (ISM), which they completed from 2019 to 2022. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Technology and Innovation from the London School of Business and Finance, graduating in 2015. Additionally, they hold professional qualifications such as the ACCA degree in Accounting and Finance obtained from 2005 to 2014. Dr. Alida also completed the Chartered Institute of Business Management program at CIBM in 2002 and the Chartered Institute of Company Secretaries program at CIS in 2002. Dr. Alida Scholtz's academic journey began with a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in Financial Accounting from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, which they obtained from 1989 to 1992.
